Difference between Kakegoe and Kiai
Kakegoe is the voice yelling without a kimewaza. There are a lot of ways to use Kakegoe i.e. to threaten the opponent or to cheer up your spirit.

There are many different types of Kakegoe.

1. To cheer up your own spirit

2. To get lost the spirit of your opponent

3. To threaten the opponent

4. To break your opponent’s spirit / demoralizing

5. To lure your opponent

6. To synchronize with your opponent

There are a lot more situation to yell a Kakegoe, and it must vary in loudness, length and tone pitch in different purposes. You must also use it freely at any situation.
